Senior Claims Consultant - Motor Insurance

As part of our claims team, you will support our brokers and manage an end-to-end claims process delivering a best practice customer experience, support in leading and mentoring the claims team acting as a referral and escalation point. 

Reporting into our Claim Team Leader you will be responsible for:

·       Providing leadership support to the Claims Team and Claims Team Leader.

·       Preparation and support with monthly reporting to claims management

·       Act as a referral point for our claims teams, including product knowledge and procedures.

·       Monitor work queues and any workflow & backlogs with the team.

·       Support with enquires and complaints ensuring the actioned promptly, professionally and effectively escalation to Claims Team Leader.

·       Manage a small panel of Brokers, facilitating the end-to-end claims process, including setting reserves, authorising payments, within authority levels and according to SLAs.

·       Ensuring the customer is kept informed of progress while negotiating options and escalating when required throughout the duration of the claim

·       Ensure adherence to industry regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.

·       Provide prompt attention to all claims in accordance with Company standards and SLA requirements.

·       Keep up to date with industry best practices by participating in business related industry forms and working groups. 

Skills & Experience:

·       ANZIIF Cert IV or Diploma in General Insurance.

·       Must have Experience in Motor Claims (Heavy Motor preferred) at a Senior or Consultant level looking for their next step. industry with knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, insurance laws and regulations.

·       Must have In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and regulations is crucial, and knowledge of claims processes related to each.

·       Have a customer-focused mindset and the ability to handle customer complaints and difficult situations professionally.

·       Ability to analyse complex situations, identifying problems, and developing practical solutions.

·       A team player, who is collaborative, shares their ideas and encourages others.
